Subject: Netmanage Chameleon v.4.00.7 available

Subject: Netmanage Chameleon v.4.00.7 available
Date: 25 May 1994 07:18:50 GMT
Hello everybody,
Yesterday I wrote to Netmanage about some telnet problems
that we had (keyboard layout) and this morning I had already
gotten (to my great surprice, everybody's talk about
netmanage's bad technical support) an answer...
Dear Anton,
You may obtain the new 4.00.7 patch (as the below) which unclude
support for International Keyboard. Any country layout who is suported
by WINDOWS is also suported by Chameleon. Please upgrade and report
back for still open issues.
The patch 4.00.7 is available via ftp to:
host: ftp.netmanage.com
user: anonymous
password: (your full email address on the internet)
Change to the /pub directory. Under that, there is an /outgoing
directory.
You will not see any files in /outgoing but can "get" the following
files.
For the Chameleon NFS product you need the following files.
1nfs4007.exe
2chm4007.exe
nwtprf.exe
np.exe
newt4007.exe
For the Chameleon product (without NFS) you need the following files.
1chm4007.exe
2chm4007.exe
nwtprf.exe
np.exe
newt4007.exe
Copy each file to a separate sub directory and explode it by typing the
name of the file
(i.e. newt4007.exe).
keep track of what file is in what directory. Create a separate sub
directory under the
nwtprf.exe file's directory called newtprof, and copy the files
extracted from np.exe file to
that sub directory.
Now enter windows and run "setup.exe" from the 1nfs4007 directory (or
the 1chm4007
directory if you don't have nfs). When it prompts you for the 2nd
Chameleon disk point to
the 2chm4007 directory. When prompted for the Newtprofs disk point to
the nwtprf
directory, and when prompted for Newt disk point to the newt4007
directory. When the
setup is complete you should reboot the system.

.....
Only bad thing about it is that the files are big
(4 full disks), but ftp.netmanage.com is now a lot
faster than it used to be.
